Mission Statement

The purpose of the Chichester Historical Society is to preserve, save and document to the best of our ability the history of the surrounding Chichester area including Lower Chichester, Marcus Hook, Trainer and Upper Chichester for future generations. We are committed to increasing public awareness and preserving the rich history of Chichester. The awareness created by the organization is critical to the establishment of sound planning, zoning and land use policies by the townships and boroughs it serves. As we move forward, our organization will strive to work with the people, schools and elected leaders to improve our communities.
